英文摘要 | Polyurethane ionomers (PUI) based on various types of polyols and extended with N-methyl diethanolamine and poly (styrene-acrylic acid0 (PSA) with various acrylic acid (AA) contents were synthesized for the studies on the ionomeric blends. The dynamic mechanical analysis of the PUI-PSA blends revealed that the shift of storage modulus-temperature curves for various PUI-PSA ratios acted as a typical compatible polyblends for the charge group AA content over 15 mole% in PSA, whereas the loss modulus-temperature curves exhibited two transitional peaks at high PSA content: One major peak of the two transitional peaks at high temperature was the transition for PUI-PSA blends and the other minor peak at low temperature was that for PUI itself. However, as the AA content was increased up to 30 mole% in PSA, the two separated peaks which both shifted to low temperatures were varied in composition; the major peak was still for the transition of PUI/PSA blends but more PUI included, and the minor peak became a soft-segment enriched PUI domain due to most of the dispersed hard-segments, which containing charge group tertiary amine, attracted out of the soft/hard-segment mixed phases of PUI by interacting with the opposite charge group, i.e., carboxyl group, in PSA. The tensile strength was greatly enhanced through the introduction of the charge groups into the blends. An important discovery for this study was that a maximum value in tensile strength as well as a corresponding maximum value in density was found at the composition of PUI/PSA ratio at 20/80 and PSA containing 30 mole% AA. |
