英文摘要 | A survey on leaf vein number (LVN) of flag leaf at heading stage and the fourth leaf sheath at seedling stage in 120 rice varieties showed significant differences in LVN among varieties and between crop seasons. The effect of variety by season interaction was also significant. The LVN of flag leaf was significantly correlated with that of the fourth leaf sheath of seedlings of all varieties tested, and was also correlated with L1, L2, L3 and L4 leaves (the first, second, third and fourth leaves below flag leaf, respectively) in 24 varieties analyzed. Heritability values for LVN in two F₂ populations were 74 and 78%. The variation ranges of LVN for flag leaf in F₂ populations showed transgressive segregation, and their mean values exceeded the parental means. The LVN of flag leaf was significant and negatively correlated with leaf dry weight and positively correlated with leaf width. However, no correlation as found between LVN and leaf length in both of the two F₂ populations. |
