英文摘要 | Transmission electron microscopical techniques have been employedto study growth mechanisms of porous anodic film on aluminum in oxalicacid. Results show that; The film grows in a non-uniform manner withpreferential film thickening above ridges of metal originally present on themetal surface; this is ascribed to flaws, either 'mechanical' or 'residual',existing above ridges of metal and causing cracking/healing process duringinitial film formation period. The local thicker film material develops acellular appearance at the outer surface of the film which is dependent onthe substrate topography. Pores are developed within preferred cells withlocalized scalloping at the metal/film interface; widening and merging ofthe scalloped regions create eventually the regular morphology of the steadystate anodic film. Cell boundary bands are observed in the stripped filmsand ultramicrotomed sections and a dissolution/deposition process duringanodic film formation are considered and discussed. |
