英文摘要 | For a selected reaction system, i.e. hydrogenation of α-methyl styrene, the effects of liquid distribution, liquid feed source, Thiele modulus and the ratio of reactor size to particle size on conversion in trickle bed reactor were theoretically studied. It is found that the liquid source (uniform or point source) does not affect the reaction rate if a long catalyst bed is used (at least fifteen particle layers). At low Thiele modulus (Øs≤2.0) and the ratio of reactor size to particle size, dt/dp, is 8, the uniform liquid distribution assumption does not introduce significant error for conversion, even though the real liquid distribution is rather non-uniform. At large Thiele modulus (Øs>2.0) and dt/dp=8, the liquid distribution effect becomes significant. In the precent study it may conclude that the liquid distribution effect can be neglected if the ratio of reactor size to particle size is equal to or greater than 16. |
