英文摘要 | An iteration method is developed for finding eigen values in thermal entry length problem for power law non-Newtonian fluid flowing in a pipe. An asymptotic solution for large eigen values is also developed which are then used as initial guesses in the iteration scheme. The method used in this paper has the advantages of fast convergence and high accuracy. It can be used to solve other eigen value problems. Numerical results with flow index n=1 (Newtonian fluid) show good agreement with known solution. Results with flow index other than unit are also obtained which were unavailable previously. |
