英文摘要 | The displacement of tracer solids following injection of single bubbles has been analysed in terms of simple models of mixing and segregation. The volume of solids set in motion by a bubble is from 0.5 to 0.8 x the bubble volume. About 75% of this movement is drift action. The shape of the displacement profile can be characterized by a ‘decay’ parameter which is approximately equal to the wake length. With small particles solids motion is enhanced. Segregation occurs mainly by particles falling through bubbles or by drift displacement, and is effectively predicted by a simple fall-through model. |
