英文摘要 | The minimum fludization velocity of binary particles of different sizes and densities has experimentally been studied. Particles of non-spherical shape such as wood chips, rubber sheets and sunflower seeds were used as coarse particles and small spherical particles of sands were used as fluidizing media. The beds showed partial mixing and the minimum fluidization velocity of coarse particles with smaller sand as the fluidizing media became lower than that of coarse particles only. The voidage of the bed was also measured as well as the pressure drop and the relation between them was discussed. The correlation for the estimation of the true minimum fluidization velocity at which both coarse and fine particles are completely mixed and fluidized was obtained. |
