| 英文摘要 | A series of experiments were conducted to investigate the optimum level of urea for growing and fattening Holstein bulls and its effects on plasma urea content. In Experiment I, 16 Holstein bulls with an average body weight of 171.62 kg were divided into four groups and individually fed with four different rations for 90 days. The rations contained 12% crude protein with 0, 11, 22 and 33% replaced by urea. The results indicated that the average daily gain were 0.823±0.131, 0.808±0.217, 0.775±0.131 and 0.598±0.240 kg and the feed cost per kg gain were 50.47, 46.48, 50.58, 63.85 NT$, respectively. This animals in group 2 of Experiment I had a daily gain close to the control group and was more economical, and the urea intake was 30 gm per animal per day in this group. In Expperiment II, 16 Holstein bulls with an average body weight of 402.18 kg were divided into four groups and subject to four treatments. The rations in four treatments contained 11% crude protein, and urea was added to replace 0, 20, 30, 40% of the crude protein. During the experimental period, the animals were fed individually for 90 days. The average daily gain were 0.927±0.198, 0.872±0.168, 0.693±0.190, and 0.705±0.126 kg and the feed cost per kg gain were 69.00, 67.77, 83.27, 78.45 NT$, respectively. The urea intake was 80 gm per animal per day in the second group. Experiment III was a 2×2 factorial design. The rations of the four treatments contained 9.51, 8.54, 11.98 and 10.34% of natural protein and 80 g urea was added to rations 2 and 4 to increase its crude protein to 10.54 and 12.33%, respectively. Sixteen Holstein bulls with an average body weight of 402.15 kg were allocated into these four treatments and fed with four different rations for 92 days. The average daily gian were 1.14±0.13, 1.25±0.07, 1.14±0.19, 1.14±0.32 kg and the feed cost per kg gain were 62.64, 56.07, 69.92, 67.71 NT$, respectively. In Experiment IV, 16 Holstein bulls with an average body weight of 371.62 kg were divided into four groups for four treatments in three stages of trial, each lasting four weeks. In the first stage, a basal ration containing 30% of concentrate and 11% crude protein was used, and urea was added to the basal ration to replace 0, 20, 30, 40% of the crude protein. At the end of trial, the average plasma urea nitrogen contents were 4.66, 7.34, 6.22, 7.99 mg/ 100 ml, respectively, for the four groups of cattle. In the second stage, a ration of 50% concentrate was used, the plasma urea nitrogen contents of cattle were 3.17, 5.15, 5.37 and 6.62 mg/100 ml, respectively, for the treatments of 0, 20, 30 and 40% NPN in rations. In the third stage, a ration of 70 % concentrate was used, the plasma urea nitrogen were 2.64, 3.85, 3.18, 5.19 mg/ 100 ml respectively, for the treatments of 0, 20, 30, and 40% NPN in rations. The plasma urea nitrogen contents of the cattle fed on rations containing 30 and 50% concentrate with 20% of the crude protein replaced by urea were significantly (P<0.01) higher than those of controls. When the ration containing 70% concentrate was fed, the plasma urea nitrogen content of cattle was not significantly higher than those of controls until 40% of the crude protein was replaced by urea. |
