| 英文摘要 | The floating rice cane be divided into two types. One is real floating rice and the other is semi-floating rice. The real floating rice varieties are sensitive to photoperiod, adaptable to deep water with long growing period, and semifloating rice varieties are weakly sensitive to photoperiod, adaptable to 1m, depth of water (the maximum is 1.5 m). So, Lead, Tapaw Gaew, Jack chvey, Nang Quat, Faya, SR 26, Radin china and Nahng chalawng are real floating rice varieties, IR lines are semi-floating rice. The secondary tillers and adventitious roots of floating rice are differeng agronomic characters from paddy rice (Table 1.) The more secondary tillers of one variety, the higher is the posibility of good yield. Due to rainfall, the nutritions in the surface layer of the soil will be disolved into the water. The more adventitious roots of one variety, the higher is the posibility to absorb more nutrition from the water. The plants which grew in deep water in swamp were taller than those which grew in shallow water (Table 2). The taller the plant, the longer was the panicles, and the longer the panicle, the higher was the yield. From all the experiments, IR 442-9-3-2 was more adaptable in Tabasco, Mexico, and gave good yield (Table 3 and 4). Most of the temporary swamps in Tabasco are around 1m. depth, and IR 442-9-3-2 adapts about 1m. depth of water. So, IR 442-9-3-2 is adaptable to Tabasco area. If the depth of water of swamp is less than 1m. IR 442-9-3-2 resists to lodging. The duration of growing period (days from seeding to maturity) of IR 442-9-3-2 is 146 days. The rainy season of Tabasco, Maxico, was in July, August, September, October and November. So, the floating rice shall be sowed before the beginning of the rainy season.
