Firstly, the article discusses how Wang Mingdao and Philip Teng both value singing hymns in church and cultivating praise for God through song in personal life, yet they hold differing views in the practice of church worship, particularly in their attitudes towards choirs, displaying notable contrasts. Secondly, the article addresses how Wang and Teng maintain theological doctrine in their hymn translations while also incorporating local contextual elements, bringing the lyrics closer to the cultural and linguistic expressions of Chinese believers, and strengthening the communal sense and identity of the faith.
