| 中文摘要 | 本研究是探討淡紋青斑蝶(鱗翅目:蛺蝶科)幼蟲的食葉量。在網室內採淡紋青斑蝶當日產卵,置於25 ± 1℃,相對濕度80 ± 5%,光週期14L:10D的生長箱中,待卵孵化成幼蟲後以華他卡藤(Dregea volubilis (L. f.) Benth. ex Hook. f.)葉片單隻飼育,結果顯示幼蟲食葉量隨著齡期增長而增加,其中最少的是第一齡幼蟲僅0.54 ± 0.11 cm^2(佔0.19%),最大的是第五齡幼蟲達254.60 ± 8.60 cm^2,亦即第五齡幼蟲食葉量佔整個幼蟲期總食葉量的87.80 %,且為第一齡幼蟲的471.5倍,至於幼蟲期的總食葉量平均為289.98± 8.48 cm^2,其中第四齡至第五齡幼蟲的食葉量合計佔總食葉量的97.36%;各齡期幼蟲的食葉量常用對數和齡期間呈直線迴歸關係。本蝶種幼蟲的取食速率隨著齡期增長而增加,其中最慢的是第一齡幼蟲僅0.1736 cm^2/day,最快的則是第五齡者幼蟲為51.8534 cm^2/day,其取食速率是第一齡幼蟲的299倍,各齡期幼蟲的取食速率常用對數和齡期間呈直線迴歸關係,由此數據可估算飼育幼蟲數所需寄主植物葉片量,做為大量飼養繁殖之參考。 |
| 英文摘要 | This study investigated the leaf consumption of each larval instar of Tirumala limniace limniace (Cramer) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae). Eggs of Tirumala limniace limniace were collected from the host plant on the same day in the net house and placed in the growth chamber maintained at 25 ± 1°C, 80 ± 5% RH, and in a photoperiod of 14 hr light and 10 hr darkness. The newly hatching larvae were individually reared with leaves of Dregea volubilis (L. f.) Benth. ex Hook. f. for investigation of larval leaf consumption. Results showed that larval leaf consumption increased with the increase in larval instar stage. The minimum of leaf consumption was 0.54 ± 0.11 cm^2 (0.19%) in the first instar larvae. And the maximum leaf consumption was 254.60 ± 8.60 cm^2 in the fifth instar larvae. This indicates the fifth instar larvae consumed 87.80% of the total leaf consumption during the entire larval stage. Leaf consumption of the fifth instar larvae was 471.5 times than the first instar larvae. The total leaf areas consumed was 289.98± 8.48 cm^2 in average during larval stage. The fourth and fifth instars larvae consumed the largest amount accounted for 97.36% of the total leaf consumption. A linear regression relationship was existed between the common logarithms of leaf consumption and the larval instar stages. The larval leaf consumption rate increased with the increase in larval instar stage. The slowest of leaf consumption rate was 0.1736 cm^2/day only in the first instar larvae. And the fastest leaf consumption rate was 51.8534 cm^2/day in the fifth instar larvae, 299 times the first instar larvae. A linear regression relationship was existed between the common logarithms of leaf consumption rate and the larval instar stages. These results can be used to estimate the amount of host plant leaves required to rear the larvae, serving as a reference for mass rearing production of the butterfly. |
