研究對象為11名具有桌遊經驗的大學生,分為組A(自然經驗豐富,五人)與組B(自然經驗較少且對SDGs無概念,六人)。 |
| 英文摘要 | Game-Based Learning (GBL) and gamification have been widely applied in higher education, yet research integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) remains limited. This study examines the impact of university students' natural experiences on their game strategies and reflections using the sustainability issue board game "Air Don't Cry: Fight for Clean Air." The study aims to provide recommendations for educators in designing sustainable courses and board game-based teaching. The participants included 11 university students with prior experience in board games, divided into Group A (students with rich natural experiences, 5 individuals) and Group B (students with fewer natural experiences and no concept of SDGs, 6 individuals). The study employed qualitative research combined with dynamic game analysis, utilizing marginal utility analysis and content analysis. Two key findings emerged: First, players' natural experiences and their roles in the game influence their strategy choices; however, most players opt for strategies that maximize personal gain but may harm the environment based on the principle of utility maximization. When the game theme resonates with players' natural experiences, they are more likely to adopt environmentally friendly strategies, demonstrating concern for environmental issues. Second, natural experiences influence the depth of reflections after the game. Players with rich natural experiences are able to extend the game context to the real world, engaging in deeper reflections and connections, whereas those with fewer natural experiences are more limited in their reflections within the game design. The study suggests that integrating players' life experiences and emotional resonance into sustainability issue board games can more effectively promote understanding and reflective action on sustainability issues. |
