| 英文摘要 | Several countries have implemented policies that allow physical activity to be used for tax deductions or insurance premium reductions. Metabolic syndrome is considered to be closely related to the complications of chronic diseases such as cerebrovascular diseases, heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension. One of the best ways to prevent metabolic syndrome is regular exercise. Purpose: This study is to understand the public's attitude towards tax deductions for exercise, analyze the public's expectations regarding the rewards through exercise, and explore the usage of smart wearable devices among the public. Methods: This study targets the general public and using a survey questionnaire that included three sections: an investigation of exercise habits, a survey on exercise reward programs, and personal demographic information. A snowball sampling method was used, the collection of 513 valid responses. The data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results: The survey respondents were predominantly female, with the majority falling within the age groups of 45–54 years and above 65 years. Additionally, 68.4% of respondents did not support the implementation of an obesity tax, while 74.1% were in favor of implementing tax deductions for exercise. The most preferred reward for accumulated exercise was Easy Card credit with 56.7%. Moreover, 56.4% of respondents reported using smart wearable devices during exercise. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study suggests that if a policy for accumulating exercise, offering rewards equivalent to cash would be more attractive. Additionally, the government could consider subsidizing the purchase of smart wearable devices to encourage more people to participate in exercise. Furthermore, since the majority of the public supports tax deductions for exercise, relevant government agencies should consider including this in future policy discussions. |
