| 中文摘要 | 臺灣民間信仰中,謁祖進香是重要大事。對臺灣現今媽祖信仰來說,前往湄洲謁祖進香更是頭等大事,因湄洲在現今媽祖信仰普遍認知中,是具有正統性的祖地。因此往湄洲謁祖進香,被大多臺灣媽祖廟視為取得正統性與獲得高超靈力的重要途徑。關於前往湄洲謁祖進香一事,現今人們多存有一種認知:認為在清代的臺灣,雖可能由於經濟因素,並不能定期前往,但並不會受到官方的限制,而無法前去。當臺灣被割讓給日本之後,又認為日本政府會阻撓媽祖廟前往湄洲謁祖進香。且這也是大甲鎮瀾宮解釋為何他們會從往湄洲謁祖進香,改成往北港朝天宮謁祖進香的說法之一。然而我們若是查閱日治時期的史料,可以發現當時政府,並非完全隔絕臺灣與對岸的往來,在報紙上也時常刊有對岸新聞,甚至在1937年七七事變以前,還可以找到許多臺灣媽祖與其他神明,前往湄洲進香或其他聖地的新聞,這與今人的認知多有不同。因此本文便是希望對於當時許多的湄洲謁祖進香紀錄,進行探討,並進一步試著對當時湄洲謁祖進香頗為盛行之原因,作出解釋。 |
| 英文摘要 | In Taiwan's folk beliefs, pilgrimage (jìn xiāng 進香) to the ancestral temple is often an important event. For the current Mazu (媽祖) belief in Taiwan, pilgrimage to the Meizhou (湄洲) ancestral temple is the most important. The main reason is that Meizhou is regarded as the most orthodox ancestral land for the Mazu belief. Therefore, the pilgrimage to the Meizhou Ancestral Temple is mostly regarded by the Mazu temples in Taiwan as an important way to obtain legitimacy and superb spiritual power. Regarding the pilgrimage to the Meizhou Ancestral Temple, people nowadays have a perception that in Taiwan in the Qing Dynasty, although it may not be possible to go there on a regular basis due to economic factors, the government did not restrict people to go to Meizhou for pilgrimage. But when Taiwan was ceded to Japan, because Taiwan no longer belonged to China at that time, people now think that the Japanese government at that time would prevent Taiwan Mazu temple from making pilgrimage to Meizhou Ancestral Temple. And this is also one of the reasons Dajia Zhenlan Temple (大甲鎮瀾宮) used to explain why they changed their pilgrimage from Meizhou to Beigang Chaotian Temple (北港朝天宮). However, if we look at the historical materials of the Japanese colonial period, we can find that the government at that time did not completely cut off the exchanges between Taiwan and China, and the news of China was often published in newspapers. Even before the Marco Polo Bridge Incident in 1937, many Taiwanese Mazu and other gods could be found on pilgrimage to Meizhou or other holy places, which is inconsistent with today's people's cognition. Therefore, this article hopes to discuss the many records of Meizhou pilgrimage at that time. Also further try to explain the reasons why Meizhou pilgrimage was quite popular at that time. |
