英文摘要 | Referring to the previous research done by John Hare, this article gives a new interpretation of Kant's view of grace on the basis of the general goal of Religion within the Boundaries of Pure Reason. First of all, this article agrees with Hare's claim that the general goal of Religion includes two aspects: the first aspect is to investigate whether the core of the revealed religion is consistent with the core of the pure religion of reason; the other aspect is to investigate whether the special revelation in the revealed religion can lead back to the pure religion of reason. This article also responds to the objections Hare has received. Secondly, with regard to Kant's position on grace, this article disagrees with Hare's claim that Kant translated grace within the revealed religion into the expression of the pure religion of reason, but failed to solve the problem of the moral gap in the latter. This article holds that, although Kant did translate part of the doctrine of grace in the revealed religion into the expression of the pure religion of reason, he still reserved a positive position for the other part of the doctrine of grace in both the pure rational religion and the revealed religion (the part consistent with the former), and thus there is no "moral gap". |
