中文摘要 | 山竹("Garcinia mangostana" Linn.)果殼富含山翻素(Xanthone),具有抗發炎與抗氧化等功效,然而對於血脂調節之效果仍未明確。因此本研究將探討山竹果殼萃取物及其相關製品對於活體血脂質調節之影響。本試驗以敘利E黃金倉鼠為試驗動物模式,以高脂高膽固醇飲食誘發高脂血症,將四十隻倉鼠隨機區分為五組,分別為高脂飼料控制組、山竹果殼萃取物組(M)、山竹果殼萃取物/大豆卵磷脂組(ML)、100mL果汁組(MJ-I00)及200mL果汁組(MJ-200),試驗期共十二週,犧牲後分析血清總膽固醇(TC)、三酸甘油脂(TG)、低密度脂蛋白膽固醇(LDL-C)及高密度脂蛋白膽固醇們DL-C)含量、肝臟及糞便脂質、糞便搶酸濃度,並進行血清低密度脂蛋白氧化還滯時間測定。試驗結果發現,四組介入組血清中TG、LDL-C、LDL-C/HDL-C、TC/HDL-C與肝臟中TG含量皆顯著低於控制組;而血清中HDL-C與糞便中膽酸含量皆顯著高於控制組,LDL氧化還滯時間則皆有顯著延長。由上述結果可知,山竹果殼萃取物及其相關製品具調節血脂及延緩LDL氧化之功效,因此推論其具有心血管保護之潛力。 |
英文摘要 | Mangosteen ("Garcinia mangostana" Linn.) pericarp is rich in xanthones, which showed antioxidant and anti-inflammation activities . However, the effect of mangosteen pericarp extracts on hyperlipidemia is still unclear. Thus, the modulatory effects of mangosteen pericarp extracts and derivative products on the blood lipids of hamster with high-fat high-cholesterol diet were investigated in this study. Forty Syrian golden hamsters were housed and divided into five groups, including control , mangosteen pericarp extracts (M), mangosteen pericarp extractsllecithin (ML), 100 "mL" mangosteen juice (MJ-IOO), and 200 "mL" mangosteen juice (MJ-200). After 12-week dietary intervention, animals were sacrificed and analyzed for concentrations of serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), TC and TG of liver and feces, fecal bile acids, and low density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidative lag time. The results showed that levels of serum TG, LDL-C, and hepatic TG in M, ML, MJ-IOO, and MJ-200 groups were significantly lower than the control group. The amounts of serum HDL-C and fecal bile acid in the four intervention groups were significantly higher than the control group. Moreover, the four intervention groups prolonged the lag time of LDL oxidation significantly after dietary intervention. In conclusion, mangosteen pericarp extracts and derivative products exhibited the modulatory activity of blood lipid and inhibited LDL oxidation; therefore, we presumed that the mangosteen pericarp extracts and derivative products have the cardiovascular protective property. |
