中文摘要 | 多元文化係我國社會存在的現象,也是國家定位中重要的考量要素,然而,不論中外,對於多元文化主義暨多元文化教育的主張仍存在許多爭議,諸如:多元文化究竟是「事實」還是「理想」,多元文化教育究竟在「求同」還是「存異」;多元文化教育與教育機會均等之間是否存在必然的關連性;以及,實施多元文化主義或多元文化教育是否將導致族群分裂等。本文將從多元文化教育與教育正義的觀點進行探究,俾釐清上述爭議與相關概念,並提供我國制訂與實施多元文化和相關教育政策之參考。 |
英文摘要 | Taiwan is recognized as a multicultural society by the Constitution. However, there are debates of multiculturalism and multicultural education on whether multi-culture is a fact of life or is it an idealistic theme? Whether multicultural education is exclusive or inclusive? Whether there is a link between multicultural education and equality of educational opportunity? And will multiculturalism and multicultural education cause the split of the society? This essay will explore the above arguments and clarify the issues from the views of multicultural education and educational justice, hoping to provide a reference for the implementation of multiculturalism and multicultural education in Taiwan. |
