中文摘要 | 許多研究者力言,教導英文為外語的寫作老師應該讓學生瞭解自己的寫作過程和困難;學生可藉由自我評量和同儕評量活動增進其寫作能力,因為這些評量活動有助於他們瞭解好文章的特色以及自己的寫作問題。本研究透過問卷,調查中臺灣三十名英作課四技生,對其不同評量活動看法;每學期亦實施前測、後測,以瞭解其進步狀況,資料分析用統計軟體SPSS。研究結果有四項: 一、學生認為三種評量活動都有助於其寫作能力,而老師評量在三者中最有效;二、自我評量活動對學生的學習也有幫助,因評量表能指出好文章的特色,而Correct English有助於文法錯誤的修正;三、同儕評量可以提昇其寫作能力,因為學生可同時閱覽同儕好文章和發現類似錯誤中學習;最後,經過測驗成績比對,比起紙本同儕評量,線上同儕評量更能增進學生的英文寫作表現。 |
英文摘要 | Many researchers claim that EFL writing teachers should get their students aware of their own writing process and difficulties. Students can promote their writing ability through self- and peer- evaluation because these activities can help them understand the features of a good composition and their own problems. About 30 college students in Taiwan participated in this study throughout the semester year of 2010. Three different evaluation activities were applied in their English writing class to help them revise their assignments more efficiently. Survey was given in each semester to investigate their perceptions of the efficacy of these evaluation activities. Pre-test and post-tests were also conducted to comprehend their progress. There were four findings: (1) students appeared to think that the 3 evaluation activities were beneficial to their English writing ability and teacher evaluation ranked the top; (2) self-evaluation was regarded effective because the evaluation sheet could remind them of what characteristics a good composition should have, and Correct English could help them revise their grammar mistakes effectively; (3) students indicated that peer-evaluation could enhance their English writing ability for they could learn from reading peers’ good compositions and finding similar mistakes; and (4) online peer-evaluation turned out to promote more students’ performance as compared with paper peer-evaluation based on the comparison of their test scores. |
