| 中文摘要 | 為了符合科技發展的時代潮流與因應消費者使用習慣的改變,可以預期未來無論是民生消費性3C電子產品或國防精密武器電子元件與系統,其需求勢必將朝向「微小化」與「輕量化」的趨勢發展。由於電子元件尺寸的縮小,傳統的電池或其它能源系統將無法符合微型化或小型後的電子產品使用,因此微(小)型儲能(EnergyStorage)或產能(EnergyHarvest)電池的研究與開發將是非常重要且刻不容緩的議題。本文所謂微(小)型能源電池係指尺度介於毫米的電池元件或系統而言,亦或是相較於現行傳統尺寸較大的電池,其體積經過微小化技術加工而小於目前傳統市售電池而言。為了使電池尺寸可以達到微小化的目的,先進的微機電微加工技術與半導體製程技術將扮演關鍵重要的角色。因此,本文除了介紹目前世界微(小)型能源的發展趨勢與技術開發以及目前和未來有機會商品化的產品,同時也將概略的簡介微機電製程與其加工原理。在微(小)型能源技術的介紹方面,本文主要介紹目前市場最熱門的微(小)型太陽能電池與燃料電池的研究、原理與發展趨勢。最後,在產品應用方面,本文也將分別介紹微(小)型能源於民生福祉與微(小)型武器系統於國防科技領域的應用,俾利讀者可以對目前微(小)型能源技術的發展與其相關應用範圍和商品化產品有基本的認識與了解。 |
| 英文摘要 | The 3C consumer electronics and state-of-the-art military weapons will be developed towards "miniaturization" and "lightweight" for keeping up with the trends of technological advancement and the change of consumers' usage. With the size reduction of electronics, traditional batteries and other macro-energy systems are no longer applied for the micro-scaled (or tiny) electronics. Thus, it's of great importance of developing micro-batteries for micro-energy storage and harvest. The described micro-batteries in this article are defined as their dimensions in the range of micrometer and millimeter sizes. Or the talked micro-batteries can also be defined as being miniaturized with MEMS and thus are smaller than the traditional and commercial ones. The MEMS and related semiconductor technologies play an important role to miniaturize the micro-batteries. Based on the requirements for understanding the micro-batteries, this article will introduce the worldwide trends anddevelopments of micro-batteries and also talk about some commercial micro-batteries at present and in the future. Furthermore, other related MEMS processes and their manufacturing principles will also be briefly described in this article. The most widely used micro-batteries including solar cells and fuel cells will also be systematically introduced to their theoretical principles and developing trends. Finally, the micro-batteries used for civil usage and for military and weapon purposes will be discussed for giving readers to have basic understanding of the development of micro-batteries and their future commercial applications. |
