英文摘要 | In 2012, a total of 461,665 batches of imported food applied to Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) for import inspection. Compared with 2011, the total batches of imported food increased by 9.8%. The amounts of 38,793 batches of the total (8.4%) were selected for laboratory analysis. Among them, 467 batches were determined unqualified, and the percentage of violation was 1.2%. The main items of violation were pesticide residues (45.0%), heavy metal contents (16.7%) and veterinary drug residues (14.4%) in agricultural, meat and aquatic products. Regarding processed products, preservatives, bleaching agents and sweeteners found exceeding the regulatory limits were the main problems. In 2012, Japan, U.S.A., Mainland China, Vietnam and Thailand were the main countries of origin, and 98,438, 72,430, 48,202, 33,851 and 22,943 batches were imported respectively. Among them, 77 batches from Mainland China, 72 batches from U.S.A., 56 batches from Vietnam, 49 batches from Thailand, and 46 batches from Japan were determined unqualified by laboratory analysis. The food category with the most violations was the “live, fresh, chilled crustaceans”, accounted for the largest number of non-compliance (56 batches), because of heavy metal contents and veterinary drug residues. Violations of “drug and food dual use goods” (55 batches) and “fresh, chilled or frozen vegetables” (49 batches) were mainly caused by pesticide residues. The results of the 2012 annual import inspection provided valuable information to be used for determining the risk factors of the food categories, and food origins with high risk for imported food control. |
