英文摘要 | The total haemocyte counts, phenoloxidase (PO) activity, respiratory bursts, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, and phagocytic activity and clearance efficiency of Litopenaeus vannamei fed hot-water extract of Sargassum cristaefolium (SCE) at 0 (control), 0.5, 1 and 2 g/kg were evaluated after feeding for 0, 3, 6, 9, and 18 days. The susceptibility of L. vannamei fed diets containing SCE at 0 (control), 0.5, 1 and 2 g/kg for 18 days and then challenged with Vibrio alginolyticus was also conducted. The results indicated that PO activity, respiratory burst, and SOD activity, and phagocytic activity and clearance efficiency to V. alginolyticus, and the survival rate after challenging with V. alginolyticus all significantly increased when the shrimp were fed SCE-containing diets at 2 g/kg. It was concluded that administration of hot water extract of S. cristaefolium in the diet at 2 g/kg induced immune modulation and enhanced the immune ability of L. vannamei, and increased resistance to V. alginolyticus infection. |
