中文摘要 | 本研究旨在探討醫學系學生在老人安養護機構服務學習的歷程。研究參與者為北部某醫學院醫學系32位一、二年級學生,至老人安養護機構進行9天的直接與間接老人照顧相關服務工作,本文收集醫學生的服務學習日誌,採用質性研究的紮根理論進行資料分析。研究結果發現,醫學系學生在服務學習反思過程中,會反覆建構自己與自己、自己與他人和自己與社會的三種層次關係外;在服務學習的經驗調適與自我調整部分,除了從一開始面對新情境的衝擊時出現的猶疑,漸漸的隨著服務時間的累積實踐從做中學,到發現自我的改變並願意自我期許;結果也發現有些學生一直處在衝擊期而不斷的自我調整。研究發現具體反映出醫學生服務學習歷程中之成長與改變,研究結果可提供未來探討服務學習成效指標建構之參考。 |
英文摘要 | This study aimed to discuss service-learning experience of medical students in long-term care facilities for seniors. Data analysis was conducted by applying the grounded theory of qualitative research. Participants were first-year and second-year medical students of a certain medical school in northern Taiwan. They were attended to the long-term care facilities for providing service directly or indirectly related to elderly care for nine days. Service-learning logs from a total of 32 medical students were collected for analysis. The results revealed that medical students repeatedly tried to establish relationships with oneself, others and the society during the period of this service-learning practice. In addition, regarding the part of self-adjustment to this experience, students started off with hesitation when encountering impact in such new scenario. As their service time accumulated, they discovered gradual self-change and eventually were willing to raise one's self-expectation. On the other hand, there appears to be students constantly engaging themselves in the impact period and having to make continuous adjustment to oneself. The discovery described above practically reflects the growth and change of medical students during their service-learning practice. This research result can serve as reference for establishing service-learning's effective index in future studies. |
