中文摘要 | 賈探春作爲《紅樓夢》,「書中與黛玉並列者」,可以從「身分認同」與「性別越界」兩個範疇探討其重要性。在「身分認同」上,本文重新解讀有關探春之重要意象,包括清秋、鳳凰、風箏、梧桐、芭蕉、玉磬等以「高潔」爲共同特徵之自然意象與人文意象所共構傳示,而確立探春之主要人格特質在於「志」。尤其拈出「玉磬」之客觀法理的象徵意義,據此進一步釐清探春與趙姨娘之對立關係的真正本質,其實並非封建上出身背景的嫡/庶、正/偏的勢利之爭,而是人格心靈上的君子/小人、高貴/卑劣的意志對抗,以及待人處事上的公/私、義/利的不容妥協;而爲了抗拒趙勵農以利益爲核心、以血緣爲本位思考之母子集團的收編,宗法制度反而弔詭地提供了探春用以保全人格高度的屏障。除了客觀法理之外,透過修辭行爲背後的言語動機的探討,可見探春之陽生特質還以「性別越界」來展現。若就整部小說的宏觀敘事結構以言之,由前半以林黛玉爲女主角到後半以探春爲主線的走向,更呈現出由「情」向「理」、從「個體」到「君體」的此消彼長,正表現出《紅樓夢》的情/理二元襯補架構。 |
英文摘要 | This article analyzes Jia Tan-chuen, first via her ”self-identity” and then through the notion of ”gender crossing”. By carefully interpreting the major images about Tan-chuen, such as clear autumn (清秋), phoenix (鳳凰), kite (風箏), phoenix tree (梧桐), plantain (芭蕉)jade chime (玉替)-all sharing the common characteristic of noble and virtuous (高潔), I posit that the core personality of Tan-chuen lies in willful aspiration (志) In particular, after clarifying the symbolism of jade chime as objective law/reason, the episodes about the confrontation of Tan-chuen and Aunt Zhao are reinterpreted: This confrontation is not, in essence, one of class politics (noble/vulgar) or blood orthodox (linear descent/concubine), but rather one of wills and mentality (noble/base). This confrontation intensively reveals the masculine law-reason characteristics of Tan-chuen, revealing her, unconscious, crossing-gender aspiration. |
