中文摘要 | 傳統第二語言作文課的作業皆由老師來評量,但近年來合作學習和學習者自主性漸受矚目,同儕評量因而受到重視。但是,許多相關研究結果不一,所以學生評量同儕的能力備受質疑。本案例研究旨在調查中臺灣一所大學英文寫作課中,教師評量和學生同儕評量的關連性。參與對象為在一百學年度,三十四位修習初級英文寫作的學生,教師要求並訓練他們互相評量作文。所蒐集研究資料為針對五次不同作文作業的評量分數,其評量者為教師和學生同儕個別評量,之後以統計軟體SPSS分析其頻率測試、相依樣本T檢定、相關係數。研究結果顯示: 第一,由於兩組分數頗為相似且相關,驗證了學生所評量的同儕分數頗接近教師的評量分數;第二,比較教師與同儕評量分數後可知,大多數學生在充分訓練後,能確實評量同學表現,文末根據研究結果提出教學上的討論和未來研究的建議。 |
英文摘要 | The evaluation of writing in L2 classroom had traditionally been teacher-dominated. In recent years, peer evaluation has renewed attention because of increasing emphasis on collaborative learning and learner autonomy. However, the results of many studies on peer evaluation have been conflicting, so student evaluators‟ competence in evaluating their peer‟s performance was questioned. This study aimed to investigate the relationships between teacher and peer evaluations implemented in English writing class of a university in central Taiwan. Throughout the semester year of 2011, 34 EFL learners who took Beginning English writing class participated in this study. They were required and trained to evaluate their peers‟ compositions. Quantitative data including two sets of scores from the class teacher and student evaluators for five different writing assignments were collected. SPSS 12.0 was used to compare the five pairs of scores. Data analysis including frequency test, paired sample t-test and correlation test was conducted. There were two findings: 1. The participants‟ peer evaluations were similar to the teacher assessments due to great agreement in the two sets of scores and positive correlations found between them, and 2. a comparison of their scores between teacher and peer evaluations indicated that most students were competent evaluators after enough practice. Pedagogical implications and suggestions for future research were also provided. |
