英文摘要 | Effects of replacing the energy from fishmeal protein with different energy sources (based on isoenergy) like wheat gluten, starch and lipid on the growth and ammonia-N excretion of grouper Epinephelus coicoides in two feeding regimes (to satiation and at 1% of body weight) were studied. The diet containing 45% fishmeal protein served as control diet. There were six replacing diets: 7 % WGD (7% wheat gluten diet), 14% WGD, 7% SD (7% starch diet), 14% SD, 7% LD (7% lipid diet which was a mixture of fish oil and soybean oil), and 14% LD. Juveniles (10 gram) were used to conduct a growth trial for 6 weeks. All fish survived in the treatments. The growth of fish fed starch and lipid diets decreased with increasing replacement level together with a reduction in ammonia-N excretion, whereas no significant differences in growth and ammonia-N excretion (1% feeding) were observed between the fish fed 7% WGD and that fed 14% WGD. The fish fed WGDs showed better growth and higher ammonia-N excretion than the fish fed SDs, and LDs. The fish fed SDs showed better growth than the fish fed LDs with no significant difference in ammonia-N excretion. The fish fed all diets to satiation excreted higher ammonia-N than that fed at 1% of body weight. As compared to all fishmeal protein diet (45% CP). The fish fed with the diet replacing up to 14% of the energy from the fishmeal protein with that from starch and lipid sources resulted in poorer growth performance and lower ammonia excretion. However, while the replacement was with wheat gluten, similar growth performance and higher ammonia excretion were obtained. |
