中文摘要 | 本研究探討了台灣地區技職教育體系觀光教育所面臨之重要議題,和四年制大學觀光系入學新生選系背景的情況。經以調查研究法針對技職教育體系四年制大學觀光系169位入學新生為對象,使用自編結構式問卷進行調查。結果顯示:進入四技觀光系就讀的學生中,觀光科畢業的學生僅佔10.7%,在回答其最想唸的第一志願問題上,有68.0%的入學新生選觀光系,選讀觀光系最多的原因包括想環遊世界者 (52.7%)、認為課程有趣者 (46.7%)、想在旅行業界工作者 (43.8%)、想在旅館業界工作者 (40.2%)、想當領隊/導遊者 (37.3%)、認為語言課程多者(37.3%)、和想從事空服員或航空地勤工作者 (32.0%);公私立校院在依分數分發上有所差異,但基本上入學新生的背景、態度並無不同。本研究依調查結果,分別對學校方面,教育主管機關方面,及未來研究方面提出建議。 |
英文摘要 | This study explored several critical issues of tourism education in technological and vocational education system in Taiwan. In addition, why students choose a tourism-degree program was also investigated. Students who enrolled in the four-year undergraduate tourism program were selected as the respondents. A structured questionnaire prepared by the author was completed by 169 first-year students. The results of this study indicated that only 10.7% of the respondents graduated from tourism program in vocational high school, 68.0% of the respondents considered tourism-degree program as the first choice to study. The main reasons were "to travel around the world" (52.7%), "to find the courses interesting" (46.7%), "like to work in the travel agency" (43.8%), "like to work in the hotel industry" (40.2%), "like to be a tour leader/tour guide" (37.3%), "many language courses" (37.3%), "like to work in the airline industry" (32.0%). Entering public or private institutes still was related to the entrance examination score. Nonetheless, the background and attitude of the respondents had no significant difference. Several suggestions for schools, education administration, and further research were made. |
