中文摘要 | 本文旨於探究閩南、金門、台灣地區著名的空間厭勝物-風獅爺民俗信仰文化之源流。由於俗謂之風獅爺有兩種,為免混淆,故先就風獅爺的種類、形制,細作說明;再針對風獅爺信仰做溯源與討論;並分析設立厭勝物的文化心理,以瞭解風獅爺背後的精神內涵。最後歸結:村莊聚落口的石雕風獅爺與屋脊瓦面上陶塑風獅爺為同名異物,皆具辟除不祥的功用;二者信仰來源不同,前者融合了古來靈石崇拜、石敢當信仰、獅子祈禳觀念、風神祭祀的傳統;後者承襲了瓦獸裝飾、英雄崇奉的心理。但都是從受到崇奉的辟邪厭勝物,升格成為護祐地方、家宅的物神,並發展出地域民俗特色;彼此在信仰上的意義是為一致。 本文擬將風獅爺的信仰脈絡及其文化傳統做出較完整的論述,為此具有歷史傳承、民間信仰、文化資產、工藝美術等多種含意的民俗厭勝物,提供更深入且全面的認知。 |
英文摘要 | This article discusses the origin of the Feng-shi-ye folk culture which is based on a famous ancient form of exorcism and is popular in region of Minnan, Jinmen and Taiwan. There are two forms of the so-called Feng-shi-ye, one is stone-carved and placed in front of a village, and the other is made of clay and located on the roof of a house. In order to clearly distinguish both forms, this paper respectively explains the contrast in terms of their forms, characteristics, and cultures. Both types have the same name but different forms, they all serve to get rid of evil spirits. These two cultures are derived from ancient Chinese witchcraft and have different origins; the stone-carved Feng-shi-ye is to be worshiped just like Shi-gan-dang, Guardian-lion, the God of wind; the clay-made Feng-shi-ye is used as a decoration standing on an animal-shaped tile on the roof of a house to be worshiped, too. Based on Chinese traditions and cultures, this article intends to completely describe and explain the long-existed Feng-shi-ye folk beliefs and its relevant cultural contexts. Hopefully, this can make some contribution to historical inheritance in order to reserve the traditional folk beliefs and bring comprehensive understanding of the importance of this cultural property and the beauty of the craftsmanship. |
