中文摘要 | 基於幼兒學英語較有優勢的理論,台灣國小英語教學日漸普及,教師的需求日增,許多大專院校著手開設教師培訓課程,並提供教學實習機會,但鮮少有研究著墨於實習教師對教學實習的看法,本研究採參與觀察研究法,深入了解27位國小英語教師訓練課程中的實習教師對於教學實習的看法,除此之外,研究方法包含課室觀察、實習日誌、經驗分享座談、以及問卷調查,結果顯示,經由整個實習過程,實習教師們多數對教學實習抱持正面態度,並深入體會學校所學的理論與實際課室教學上的差異,且覺得除了英語能力的培養外,教師性格和課室管理能力的養成被認定是促成英語教學成功的兩大要素,最後經由實習,實習教師們學會了如何平衡學校習得的理論,建立個人教學風格,進而成爲一個稱職的國小英語教師。 |
英文摘要 | The teaching of elementary English as Foreign Language (EFL) is prevailed based on the learning advantage of young pupils in Taiwan. Many teacher preparation courses with field experience are offered by universities to educate qualified teachers. However, few studies have explored student teachers' perceptions toward field experience. This study then aimed to investigate student teachers' perceptions of field experience in elementary EFL teacher preparation course. A participant-observational study was adopted to investigate the field experience of 27 college students who intended to become elementary English teachers. Other than classroom observations, student reflection journals, student-teacher seminar, and a survey were also conducted. The results showed that student teachers gave overall positive reflections toward the field experience. They have realized the difference between theories learned from school and the reality of school teaching world. Other than English ability, developing a good teacher personality and classroom management skills at the elementary level are considered to be two of the essential factors in achieving successful English teaching. At the end, participated student teachers have benefited by balancing their leaning, shaping their teaching styles, and developing further as EFL teachers from the field experience. |
