中文摘要 | 爲跨越英語說聽學習課程中文化與母語的隔閡,筆者於一所技術學院中實驗一系列的教室學習活動。藉此探究溝通式群體活動能符合「群體活動中的提升成效和活動本身對學習造成的群體凝聚力」(Michaelsen, Fink, Knight 1997)。此一多項活動於2007年第一學期進行實驗,參與的學生每週約有十節與英語相關的課程,班級中的學生程度不一。此研究證明了,某些活動最受學生歡迎,並能最有效提升其學習動機。本論文同時討論成功的教室活動所必備的條件,包含適合學生程度的教材、簡單明瞭的活動規則、活動中教師雖盡量不予介入,但應營造學生比賽氣氛並確認活動能讓每個學生參與。 |
英文摘要 | To transcend cultural barriers and native-language leverage in EFL listening and speaking lessons, a classroom activities research on the students in a technology college, was conducted to find out the communicative group activities that fit into ”the developmental level of the groups in which they will be used and the impact of the activity on the cohesiveness of the groups” (Michaelsen, Fink, Knight 1997). The students of different English levels were involved in the target activities in approximately 10-hour English courses per week in the school curriculum when the survey was held in the first semester of 2007. Activities, proved to be more popular and motivation-inspiring, are discussed in this study. This paper also has a discussion on the tips of successful activities, which include materials that are proportional to students' ability, simple rule instructions, competition atmosphere without the instructor's interruption and the participation of each class member. |
