中文摘要 | 雷射技術已發明超過四十年,然而仍未有能將紙質文物表面之黴斑完全成功移除者。本研究嘗試採用釹元素之雅各雷射,進行多種真菌黴害紙張之除斑試驗,以求在實際維護上之應用,進而探求紙質文物長久保存的方法。 試驗結果顯示,波長1064 nm之雷射對於紙張上黑色或深色的黴菌斑點的移除效果特別好,同時,經過雷射除斑處理並未導致紙張白度或零跨距強度有顯著的減損。釹元素之雅各雷射處理對於黴斑紙樣之白度改善效果依序為10 Hz, 10 pulses; 10 Hz, 5 pulses; 10 Hz, 1 pulse。經過雷射除斑處理之紙試樣,其FTIR光譜中代表黴菌之胺基酸1550 cm^(-1)及羰基1650 cm^(-1)兩處吸收峰有消失或減小之情形,顯示雷射處理已將紙張表面上的黴菌組織有效地移除。因此本研究以雷射技術應用於紙質文物或檔案的除斑處理,具有相當之應用潛力。 |
英文摘要 | Laser techniques have been developed and applied in commercial use over 40 years, but it has not been used successfully to remove stains from paper-based cultural relics. The purpose of this study was to investigate the paper cleaning by using Nd-YAG laser. Artificial stained papers were inoculated with fungi and then were treated with different laser cleaning parameters, in order to find out the best treating conditions. Experimental results showed that 1064 nm of laser wavelength obtained a superior cleaning effect, especially for the black and /or darken fungal stains. It was also found that no significant loss was detected on the brightness and the zero span strength of laser treated paper specimens. The Nd-YAG laser treated paper specimens exhibited the superior brightness improvements in the order of 10Hz with 10 pulses; 10Hz with 5 pulses; 10Hz with 1 pulse. After being removal of fungal stains from the surface, the IR absorbance spectra of paper specimens at 1550 cm^(-1) and 1650 cm^(-1) representing for either amino acid or carbonyl group disappeared or decreased. It is suggested that the Nd-YAG laser can be a viable alternative conservation method for paper-based relics and archives. |
