中文摘要 | 教學是一項目標導向的作為,也就是由教師在教學情境中,依其專業判斷先行設定目標,進而再作一系列的決定,以提高達成此目標的可能性;「而教師的判斷與作為,則受其個人教學的信念所影響。為幫助教師建立有效教學的信念,以提高其教學效能,本文先就教學有關的概念」(Effectiveness)作一討論,再介紹美國PHI DELTA KAPPA學會「增進教師效能(Maintaining Teacher Effectiveness)」研習中Dr. Mass所提的四項教學技能(instructional skills):選定適當的教學目標、向著目標教學、關注學生的學習並適時調整教學、及善用學習的原理,並說明如何在學校教室中應用這些技能。作者強調教學既是科學,也是藝術,身為教師既要熟悉相關的教學原理,更要在教室的情境中伺機應用;教師如能在教學時注意「我希望學生在這堂課中學到什麼」和「學生學得如何」,並善用上述的教學技能,始可讓所教的學生,能在課堂的大部分時間,都專注在所欲的學習(focus on desired learning),而達到有效教學的目的。 |
英文摘要 | Teaching is an objective-oriented action, which is also a series of teachers' decisions based on their professional judgment. It will increase the possibility of reaching the intended outcome. Meanwhile, teacher's judgment and actions would be influenced by his or her personal teaching beliefs. In order to help instructors establish the relevant perceptions of teaching to enhance their self-efficiencies, this study would explore some related teaching concepts, then introduce what Dr. Maas mentioned about four instructional skills in "Maintaining Teacher Effectiveness"! workshop from PHI DELTA KAPPA of USA, including 'Select an instructional objective at the correct level of difficulty for the students being instructed', 'Teach to the objective', 'Use principles of learning', and 'Monitor the students learning and adjust teaching.' Furthermore, it would explain how to take these skills into classroom practice. the writer emphasizes that teaching is a kind of science and an art as well. Teachers must be familiar with the related teaching theories, and adopt those in their teaching settings. If teachers could pay more attention to "What do I want students to learn in this class"! and "What do I plan to find out if students have learned it"!, and make the best use of above mentioned instructional skills, students would focus more on desired learning for most of time in class and achieve the intended outcome effectively. |
