英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of two gifted fourth graders' mathematics problem solving. For this case study, interviews were used to probe out the thinking of the two subjects after they completed a task involving three velocity problems. To explore their problem solving performance, a triangulation technique was adopted. This study showed that the two gifted subjects had excellent intuitive insight in mathematics problem solving. From the analysis of their problem solving, the authors found there could be two significant strategies extracted from their problem solving performance. These strategies may be good resources for school teachers of mathematics. |
