英文摘要 | An investigation of the concentrations of copper, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium in young female hair (n=148), from women aged between 15 to 19 years was performed by using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The hair samples were washed with organic solvent (normal hexane: ethyl alcohol: acetone, v/v, 4:2:1) to remove the external impurities and then digested with a microwave digester. Finally, the hair samples were analyzed by using a flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer. We statistic these young female physical and behavior scores in four school semester (before and after from the reference point of the hair cut). There is an inverse relationship between copper and sodium concentrations with the behavior scores in young female. In addition, we found those young female, who have regression coefficient; r=-0.0779 and r=-0.0874 respectively). In physical performance, those who showed higher physical score tended to have a higher copper, concentration in their hair (r=0.13230). On the contrary, those who have higher hair potassium concentration have the lower physical score (r=-0.0513). From this point of views, we conduct that those who have higher copper and sodium concentrations in their hair tended to be has worse behavior performance. In term of, those who have higher copper and sodium concentrations in tended to be has better physical performance. Therefore daily food insufficient adequate of copper and sodium but over adequate potassium would would affect the physical performance. So, we suggested young female in their growing stage, a well-balanced diet to provide nutrition is essential. In order to avoid undesirable physical score and keep good behavior score, beside of an emphasized well-balanced diet, the intakes of copper, potassium and sodium supplement should be reinforced, but potassium concentration moderate intake will be appropriate. |
