中文摘要 | 本研究係利用資料包絡分析法(Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA)的BCC(Banker, Charnes and Cooper)模式,以2005年台灣鳳梨農場之產銷調查資料,評估150個鳳梨農場之生產效率,並分析影響效率差異之因素。研究結果顯示,鳳梨農場之純粹技術效率值為0.77,顯示個別農場之效率尚有提升之空間。由於鳳梨農場之技術效率差距很大,且其資源也未能有效運用(資源運用率平均為68.6%),建議這些鳳梨農場應加強栽培技術與資源運用,尤其是材料費、人工費及其他費用(包括農藥費、農用設施及農機具費等)使用似嫌過多,用於肥料及種苗之費用亦應適度節省。另方面,規模效率值為0.83,但是鳳梨農場處於最適規模的農戶比率僅有14.0%,顯示大多數鳳梨農場之生產並未處於最適規模。雖然小面積鳳梨農場未處於最適規模,但大多是在規模報酬遞增階段,建議經由生產規模的有效擴大,使鳳梨農場處於最適規模生產,將有助於效率的提升。 |
英文摘要 | This research attempted to estimate the production efficiency of 150 pineapple farms in Taiwan using investigated data in 2005, and to find out the factors that influenced the production efficiency. BCC (Banker, Charnes and Cooper) model of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was chosen for empirical study. The result showed that the estimated pure technical efficiency (PTE) was 0.77. Therefore, there is some space for improvement of the efficiency of the individual farm in future. Because there were the significant differences between PTE and the low usage rate of input (the usage rate of inputs was 68.6% on average), it is important to emphasize on control and utilization of the production inputs. Moreover, the estimated scale efficiency (SE) was 0.83. The low rate of the pineapple farms (14.0%) showed that the majority of the pineapple farms could not produce at optimal scale. Besides, the results show that the majority of the pineapple farms are in small scale and in the stage of increasing returns to scale (IRS); hence, the study suggests that the farm scale should be effectively enlarged to improve scale efficiency. |
