中文摘要 | 臺灣的視覺藝術教育史近年來雖然陸續有專家學者對此發表論述,卻仍有許多待開發的空間;教學過程中面臨的相關史料不足等問題,成 為筆者從事臺灣藝術教育史研究的動機。文獻探析與訪談過程,進一步引發筆者對歷史本質、研究者的角色與詮釋的疑問。史學研究中研究者 所應扮演的角色與侷限為何?個人的主觀論斷與客觀的詮釋又該如何達到妥善的平衡?歷史學界對上述議題的思考開啟了新的思考空間。本文 於是從西方十九世紀以來主要的歷史學典範(paradigm)移轉過程中史學家對歷史本質與詮釋的辨證,反思臺灣視覺藝術教育史研究現況,並 提供個人對未來研究的建議。 |
英文摘要 | Although there were a few Taiwanese art education historical studies published during the recent years, the need for further inquiries inspired the author to conduct a research study collecting oral histories from experienced visual art educatiors. During the process of data analysis and interview, questions about the nature of history, the role of a historian, and possible ways of presentation and representation surfaced. What should be the role a historian? How to achieve the balance between subjective reading and objective truth/fact? Existing literature from the History disciple has debated on the above questions for long and the diverse thinking paradigms have strong relevance to visual art education research. This paper introduced major Western historical inquiry paradigms since the 19[90bb] century, the author thereby reflected on the current status of Taiwanese visual art education history studies, and provided suggestions for future research. It is recommended that researchers shall explore hidden histories, read beyond Visual Art field to take fruits from other related disciplines, experiment with different ways of writing historical narratives, be aware of the mediation poser of language, and continuously be reflective of one's assumptions. Although debates on the best way of conducting historical inquiry will continue just as debates on the nature of art will not likely to ease, between the grand narrative and mini-narratives, the objectives facts and subjective viewpoints, new ways of researching and teaching Taiwanese visual art education histories will emerge. |
