中文摘要 | 本文主旨論證21世紀的大學專業教育與通識教育必須經由互動而邁向融合,並指出專業與通識的互動與融合,正是未來海峽兩岸大學教育之根本而重要的方向。本文第貳節從21世紀知識經濟時代的趨勢以及人性尊嚴的角度切入,論證專業教育必須與通識教育融合的理論基礎,在於捍衛人性之尊嚴與因應21世紀知識經濟之新需求。本文第參節接著剖析「唯專業教育論」的兩種論述--社會分工論與身心二元論,並加以批判。最後,本文第肆節則探討經由課程改革與教學方法的提昇,而促進專業教育與通識教育的融合。 |
英文摘要 | This paper attempts at an analysis of the necessity of the fusion of the specialized and general education in the universities and colleges in the twenty-first century. We argue that the fusion of specialized and general education is to safeguard the dignity of man from reducing man into a tool and to meet the new challenges of knowledge-based economy. Moreover, we analyze the theoretical basis of the position of "Specialized education only". We indicate that the theory of division of labor in society and the mind-body dualism are not sufficient in supporting the argument of "specialized education only". Finally, we suggest some agendas for curriculum reform and pedagogical methods for the fusion of the specialized and general education. |
