英文摘要 | Under a limited space or restricted thick of an anchored layer, an underreamed anchor which can meet both the requirements of a short length and high anchorage capacity. To investigate anchorage mechanism of the anchor, a numerical program was carried out to study the uplift behavior of underreamed anchors in silty sand. To enhance the applicability of the numerical program, the results measured from field anchor tests were compared with those calculated by numerical analyses. Three failure modes on end bearing can be found, depending on embedded depth of underreamed anchors. There are the general shear failure for a shallow anchor, the local shear failure for an intermediate anchor, and the punching shear failure for a deep anchor, respectively. No progressive yield occurs along the interface between fixed end and soil for an anchor with L/D less than 25; therefore, the anchorage capacity is increased, concave upward with fixed length. |
