英文摘要 | This essay tries to sketch the theory and practice of moral education based upon individualist morality. There are five sections. The first section examines some difficulties faced by moral educators. It is pointed out that the difficulties occurred in the practice of moral education are jointly caused by some uncontrollable external factors and some controllable internal factors. The second section argues that the mainstream moral education in Taiwan is developed along the Confucian school which has not been effective. The author of this essay hence maintains that a new moral education based upon the individualist morality should replace the traditional one. The third section tackles some practical issues which would inevitably follow the adoption of the new individualist moral education. The fourth section emphasizes the importance of tolerance in the practice of the new moral education. In the end, some concluding remarks are made. |
