中文摘要 | 在中國篆刻史上,援用石質印材--花藥石(又名花乳石、花蕊石)治印,肇始於元代王冕(1287-1359),唯未見形成風尚;迄明代文彭(1497-1572)試以青田石,方普獲認同、相繼採用,蔚為主流印材,正式開啟篆刻史上之石章時代,同時宣告傳延二千餘年銅印時代之結束。 再者,文彭非特將青田石引進印壇,甚且從印文、邊款之布局、書寫,乃至鐫刻之完成皆不假手於人,一反以往須與專業刻工合作之傳統,從此引發文人親自書刻石章之興趣與信心,並視參與此道為風雅之事。風氣既開,習染者日夥,印章匠氣漸脫,欣賞性遞增,風格紛呈,終而促使篆刻創作與實用之印璽鈐印分道揚鑣,自成體系,成為一種藝術門類。文彭也因此受奉為印學之開山祖師。 文人治印成風後,除印文情態之多采多姿,令人目不暇給外,邊款內容之不一而足,更成後世考察印人治印心情、動機,藝術見解、文學涵養等之重要憑藉,如文彭所鐫「琴罷倚松玩鶴」一印,除印文質樸雅正、流暢自然,足再三品賞外,四周立面及印背尚勒有邊款(前者係文氏自記刻印始末,後者為賞鑒人之註語)。為後人研究此印提供珍貴之線索;此外,更可藉以欣賞其所展現之精湛書法功力與獨到之篆刻技術,故印章邊款向後被併入篆刻藝術不可或缺之組成部分,並譽之為「袖珍碑刻」,洵非偶然也。 本文擬從文彭在中國篆刻史上扮演繼往開來之角色論起,進而分析其所治「琴罷倚松玩鶴」一印之內涵,包括印章餽贈對象、印文由來、邊款字體與刻製技法、後人輾轉收藏等情形;並以實例印證其後篆刻家所體現之行草邊款藝術,深受此印啟發之痕跡,從而更加堅信文彭在篆刻史上確具承先啟後之重要地位。 |
英文摘要 | Between the Yuan and Ming dynasties, stone materials were adopted. In the Yuan dynasty, Wang Mien used the flower-medicine stone to carve the seals. But it didn't prevail until Weng Peng adopted ching-tien stone seals. This made it possible for the literary men to write and carve by themselves. It also marked the era for seal carving to step from copper to stone. The seal carving stepped into new era from then on. Besides the multiple styles of the seal letters, the seal sidenotes veried through the endeavor of the seal-carving masters and thus became indispensable component in seal carving arts, and was used to be called as “the mini tablet”. Wen Peng's promotion made seal carving prevail, and he was called as “the father of seal literature.” The five sidenotes on his seal “accompany the crane beside pines after playing music” expressed that the literary man's art affection and living sentiment benefited from association with each other. After the literary men had carved the seal letters, they also carved sidenotes on the seal sides to show their affections for the masterpieces. The contents of the sidenotes thus became important clues to retrace the mood of the creators. Through the lively styles of the sidenotes, the exquisite words expressed the carver's far-reaching entrustment. In the plain and peaceful seal letters, one can feel the vigorous life and precious emotions. Through the sidenotes, the literary men's living sentiments and tunes can almost be appreciated. Seal letters and sidenotes are the same as harmony and rhythm that echo in mind and respond each other in all eras and different minds. This essay clarifies Wen Peng as the heir to ancient ages and the teacher of posterity. It also explains the contents of his seal “accompany the crane beside pines after playing music,” with the origin, the object to send, the styles and skills of the sidenotes, the collection of the following generations, the value and the meaning included. |
