英文摘要 | This study examines information literacy as well as belief and attitude towards e-learning of agricultural extension agents employed by the local Farmers’ Organizations in Taiwan. The main purpose of current research is to determine if agricultural extension agents are capable of using e-learning and perceive e-learning as beneficial and useful when in involving in learning design and development in agriculture. A questionnaire survey is developed to collect the data. The survey is administered to approximately 223 agricultural extension agents by regular mail. Results, reveal participants have demonstrated sufficient information literacy for adopting e-learning. Overall, their beliefs and attitudes towards e-learning are also positive and effective, in terms of providing people with more learning opportunities, more flexible learning access, more learner control and autonomy, a relaxing way of learning, and so forth. Meanwhile, extension agents under investigation perceive that e-learning is as effective as traditional learning in helping them obtain professional knowledge and skills in need. The analysis further indicates that participants perceive that e-learning has been recognized by the organizations they work. Factors having influences on participants’ information literacy, beliefs and attitudes towards e-learning are also identified. |
