中文摘要 | 臺灣教育,在過去五十年以來,臺灣所佔的比例太少,而教育又有偏向。批評者每指責數百年的「臺灣教育」,既「反臺灣」也「反教育」。「反臺灣」就是把臺灣看成沒什麼重要,甚至隻字不提,偶一提之,都是負面的。「反教育」則一來以學術迫害來阻礙學生智力的發展,服從心態掛帥,不足受教腦筋未見開發,反而有被窒息的可能;二來在品德教育上,公然把仇恨作為教學重點,與「愛」的教育背道而馬。就鄉土教育而論,臺灣本土語言及教材未見整理、研究、及教學。幸而經過臺灣主體性早些覺人士的奮鬥及抗爭,現在才見學校教育及社會教育中,開始有了名實相符的臺灣主體意識的教學。主體意識中最為核心的莫過於國家認同,這在過去的政治教育中的是霸權十足的一言堂。臺灣是否可以成為獨立國家,至少應讓師生知悉過去有過這種史實,現在則在爭論中。主體性的教育,不該閃避,不可扭曲,更不可打壓。學術自由之有無,此議題是最佳的考驗。 |
英文摘要 | Promoting the level of subjectivity to the identification of Taiwan as a nation is a critical and very sensitive topic in the past for fifty would be eventually and virtually contexed with the educational policy, curriculum organization, and the mentality of teaches and students. Unfortunately, academic freedom in this Island has been suppressed over one century. In the area of educational research and writing, this topic has been ignored in the educational literature. Under this circumstance, educational reform could not have any expected success. This paper deals with the consciousness of Taiwanese self recognition during the past 50 years in politics and education for the purpose of helping the establishment of nation-building. This historical process would throw light in the understanding of controversial debates between Taiwan independence and unification with China. |
