英文摘要 | The Yi-Dao understood by “Yi-Zhuan” is originally a transcendental substance. However, in the system of “Yi-ching”, the metaphysical Tao does not exist as an actual intelligible world which is separated from the particulars (qi). Setting up hexagram, observing images and appending diction are precisely the Yi-ching’s ways of expressing thoughts. In this system of formulation, the “diction” (chi) of Yi, as “word (yan)”, does not refer to abstract and ready-made conceptual relation but to the “images (xiang)”, and thus reveals present situation of human life-existence represented by the “images” of Yi. “To show the image by words,” it is not to say that the “images” are stationary and abstract category but a dynamic system of the mutual relation between human being and the time-position change of divinatory symbols, line (yao). The diction is used to judge the good fortune and misfortune which are involved with human existence. “The hexagram is used to record and sign chance”, that is to say, the time-position unity of hexagram is used to record and sign chance”, that is to say, the time-position unity of hexagram consist of the chance and situation for man to discern his good fortune and misfortune, praise and deservingness. By disclosing the meaning of images, Yi’s diction brings “Tao” into a close place of human life and, at the same time, guides human beings, to the actual situation which closely related to his living existence so as to realize and manifest the dynamic and unifying meaning of the “Tao” The “Tao” of Yi is the metaphysical, is the One; but in the Yi system it is an integrity that can be proofed in the personalizing, opportunity-holding, and particular situation, occasion, and path. Because Yi involves the existence of human life, human beings experience the Tao of Yi by a moral approach actualized by life. |
