中文摘要 | 本研究以倡導全人教育多年的中原大學為例,以質性研究的探索式分析研究法 (analytical research),針對記載過去事件的文件、口頭證詞、遺物、教科書、手冊等,作描述、分析、解釋與歸納。從中探討全人教育理念的意涵,理念落實之現況,近程策略與遠程願景,藉以找出影響中原大學全人教育理念落實的脈絡,進而建立理論模式以做為今後全人教育理念實踐與教育評量的參考,或形成研究問題作為未來研究的議題。 研究發現,在理念落實的路徑上,係透過政策面與執行面進行。政策面包括:教育宗旨與理念的制定,全人教育政策的擬定,教育措施與活動的配合,校園文化的傳承與經營,通識教育全人化的再造,推動學術發展,在整體界面及基礎建設的中、長程計畫中,列入全人教育相關計畫,以及將全人教育典範大學列為卓越目標等。執行面包括:全人教育專書的出版,全人教育學術研討會的辦理,專業期刊的發行,傳統活動與校園景點的維護,榮譽博士學位的授予,種子師資的培植,全人教育學會的成立,全人教育村的落成,校長身體力行全人教育理念,培養良好校風,精進教學品質,選拔教學特優教師與優良導師等。 從上述分析可以瞭解全人教育理念的落實,係透過各種策略與措施,發揮影響力,以營造校園文化,提高校園友善度,進而達成遠程願景的目標,是一脈絡清晰,政策與執行措施相結合的過程,此一過程對全人教育的推動是有積極意義的,這些意義也可能對學校中長程的發展乃至永續經營產生具體的影響。最後,針對本研究的限制及未來研究,本文亦提出討論與建議。 |
英文摘要 | The issue of holistic education has been discussed for several years in Taiwan. Although its importance has been stressed continually, its accomplishment seemed to far from scope for the theory and practice. Previous research related to this field focused on one person or one approach instead of one unit of a campus or university. The purpose of this study was to examine the contextual factors of accomplishments of the holistic education. By means of a qualitative analytical research, this paper presented the meaning, short-term strategies, and long-term vision of the holistic education. First, this paper examined current higher education in Taiwan and the meaning of holistic education. Second, this paper analyzed the formation and accomplishment of holistic education including short-term strategies and long-term vision. Third, based on the findings of this research, this paper indicated two dimensions of accomplishments of the holistic education for Chung Yuan Christian University. Finally, recommendations were made for future evaluation and research at higher education systems in Taiwan. |
