中文摘要 | 心臟疾病高居國人十大死因第二位,研究發現冠狀動脈心臟病(coronary artery disease,CAD)與氧化壓力有關,輔酶Q10與維生素E皆為良好的抗氧化親脂性維生素。本研究目的想了解CAD病人血漿輔酶Q10及維生素E濃度與氧化壓力之相關性。CAD受試者經心導管檢查冠狀動脈狹窄程度大於或等於50%者(n = 51);健康受試者經體檢查資料,其血液生化值於正常範圍內,做為對照組(n = 102)。測量受試者之血漿輔酶Q10、維生素E、脂質過氧化物(malondialdehyde, MDA)含量及抗氧化酵素活性[過氧化氫酶,catalase(CAT)及麩胱甘肽過氧化酶,glutathione peroxidase(GPx)]濃度之測量。結果顯示,病例組的輔酶Q10、維生素E濃度及抗氧化酵素活性則顯著低於對照組;而MDA濃度顯著高於對照組。迴歸分析發現,血漿輔酶Q10、維生素E濃度與MDA含量之降低及抗氧化酵素活性之提升皆有顯著之相關性。本研究推論CAD患者承受較高的氧化壓力,輔酶Q10及維生素E濃度顯著較低的情形。未來研究擬了解CAD受試者使用輔酶Q10及維生素E能否降低其氧化壓力。 |
英文摘要 | Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death in Taiwan. Higher oxidative stress may contribute to the pathogenesis of CAD. Coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E are lipid-soluble vitamins known for their excellent antioxidant qualities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E concentrations with oxidative stress in patients with CAD. Patients who were identified by cardiac catheterization as having at least 50% stenosis of one major coronary artery were assigned to the case group (n = 51) . The control group (n = 102) consisted of healthy individuals with normal blood biochemical values. Plasma coenzyme Q10, vitamin E, and malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations and antioxidant enzyme activities [catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) ] were measured. Subjects in the case group had significantly lower values of plasma coenzyme Q10, vitamin E, and antioxidant enzyme activities than the control group. Plasma coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E levels were significantly correlated with the MDA level and antioxidant enzyme activities. Patients with CAD were exposed to a higher level of oxidative stress and lower levels of coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E. Further study is needed to examine the benefits of administering coenzyme Q10 or vitamin E to CAD patients, especially those with higher levels of oxidative stress. |
