中文摘要 | 近年來無線通訊快速地發展,使用行動通訊設備上網詢價並購物的方式,成為一種普遍的消費行為。由於傳統Client-Server線上購物平台需要一直與網站來回通訊,常因無線通訊品質不良,而延長處理時間,使得成本相對提高。另一方面,行動代理人只需將行動碼(Mobile Code)傳送至商務網站內,直接與網站做溝通,因此可以減少頻寬需求。一般而言,所派遣行動代理人越多,其並行計算(Parallel Computing)能力可有效降低總等待時間,但行動代理人數量越多,卻也無可避免地增加網路傳輸及結果整合時間,反而降低系統效能。 針對多行動代理人的數目及相關參數對於系統之影響做效能評估的研究,至今尚未能有一完整的評估模型。本論文提出在行動商務上利用多行動代理人做線上議價之效能模型,並比較其與傳統Client-Server購物平台之效能差異。模擬實驗結果顯示:當 1) 行動碼對Client-Server交易平台資料長度之倍數過高;2)在Client-Server之搜尋資料所包含垃圾資料百分比很低;3) 代理人的數量對總搜尋網站比例過高時,多行動代理人之處理效能反而比Client-Server差。除此之外,議價總次數與連線失敗率的增加對 Client-Server的效能影響比較大。 |
英文摘要 | In recent years due to the rapid development of wireless communications, the online bargaining and shopping through handhold devices have gradually become a common consumptive behavior. Because the traditional client-server platform must continuously communicate with a website, the poor quality of wireless communication often prolongs this kind of online shopping process. Consequently, the cost of mobile commerce is relatively increased. On the other hand, a mobile shopping agent only transmits its mobile code into commercial websites, and directly interacts with those websites. Therefore, it can reduce the requirement of network bandwidth. In general, with the increasing number of the dispatched mobile agents the increasing parallelism of computing capacity effectively reduces the overall waiting time. However, it inevitably increases the time of network transmission and result integration, which leads to the degradation of system performance. So far no significant model evaluating the pros and cons of system performance of online bargaining for mobile multi-agent and client-server platforms in mobile commerce has been found. In this paper, we propose a performance evaluation model of mobile multi-agent for online bargaining and compare the system performance with the traditional client-server model. The experimental results show that the performance of mobile multi-agent is inferior to that of client-server model when 1) the ratio of the length of a mobile code to the size of a request of client-server model is too high; 2) the percentage of garbage data in a client-server model is too low; 3) the ratio of the number of mobile agents to the number of overall searched websites is too high. In addition, the performance of client-server is more affected by the increase of total times of negotiation and connection failure than that of mobile multi-agent model. |
