中文摘要 | 鋁液在澆嘴內之流動是一個暫態的流動行為,其速度及溫度都會隨著時間而變,液面的形狀也會隨著流場的改變而產生變化。因此在本研究中採用連體理論及能量方程式,建立可同時模擬液相、固相及液固相共存的數學模式;而在數值上,以顯性有限差分法及SOLA計算流體力學技術來解流動方程式,並結合能量方程與各輔助關係式,來解析系統中的速度、溫度等變數。在自由液面追蹤方面,則以VOF技術來建立自由液面的位置。由模擬結果發現,澆嘴內擋板的設計與擺放位置對鋁液的流動及熱傳行為有很大的影響,且能成功的預測與解釋澆嘴所發生的凍結行為。 |
英文摘要 | Twin roll casting is of interest as it allows the production of aluminum alloys sheet close to final guage and therefore removes the need for hot rolling, ideally only cold rolling to final guage will be required. The quasi-uniform distribution of molten metal between the water-cooled roll is accomplished with a ceramic fiber tip. The internal baffling configuration and shape affects this quasi-uniform distribution and contributes to defect free industrial sheet production. In this study, a mathematical model and numerical solution algorithm has been proposed. The formulation is based on the continuum model for conservation of mass, momentum and energy, and can deal the phenomena of fluid flow, heat transfer and partial solidification. The modified SOLA technique is used to solve the two-dimensional equations and VOF method is used to track the location of flow domain. Practical applications verified that this model could provide the correct simulation results and help to find optimal tip geometry. |
