中文摘要 | 本文先對硬碟機內滑座軸承作一扼要回顧,並標示出主要的力學問題。滑座軸承由滑座、旋轉磁片、及二者間的超薄氣膜所組成。滑座的運動按牛頓第二定律、而流動氣膜內的壓力則由包含稀薄氣體效應的廣義雷諾方程式統御,二者相互偶結。因為滑座及磁片間作快速的相對運動、且氣膜厚度只有約10 nm,我們並不易就本問題進行詳細的量測,因此數值模擬乃是工業界中滑座軸承設計的一項有力且必需的工具。本文介紹文獻中所採用的一種計算方法,並討論一系列的穩態模擬結果。最後本文亦討論飛行高度在5 nm以下值得作進一步研究的課題。 |
英文摘要 | A brief review of the slider bearing in hard disk drives is provided, and the major mechanical issues are addressed. A slider bearing is consisted of a slider, a rotating disk, and an ultra thin air film between them. The motion of the slider is governed by Newton’s second law, and the pressure of the moving air film is governed by the generalized Reynolds equation, which included the rarefied gas effect. It is a coupling problem between rigid body dynamics and fluid mechanics, and numerical simulation is proved to be a powerful and still a necessary tool for the design of the slider bearing in industry as detailed measurements are not easy for such rapidly moving mechanical elements at nano-length scales. A selected numerical method is introduced, and a series of steady state simulations are presented. A brief discussion is also provided on further study on the problem of flying height less than 5nm. |
