中文摘要 | 本研究主要是探討集中主題閱讀對於字彙學習的影響。這是一個準實驗研究,參與研究的學生是中台灣兩班五專學生。控制組的學生,閱讀三篇主題互不相關文章,文章中遇到的單字則由教師加以詳細講解。實驗組的學生也閱讀三篇文章,但這三篇文章的主題是相關的。 實驗時間為期兩個月,在實驗期間,研究者每週教導受試學生四小時,受試者在實驗前接受前測,並在實驗後接受後測。研究者分析測驗成績,結果顯示控制組學生與實驗組學生的後測結果是否有顯著的差別。本實驗也顯示集中主題閱讀是否有助於單字字義的記憶,此外本研究也顯示集中主題閱讀是否有助於學生了解這些單字該如何運用。 |
英文摘要 | The study is intended to explore the effect of narrow reading on vocabulary learning. This is a quasi-experimental, group comparison study. The subjects were two intact classes of junior college students from central Taiwan. The control group consisted of one intact class of students receiving detailed vocabulary instruction on the vocabulary students encountered in three articles regarding three different topics. The experimental group consisted of the other intact class of students given vocabulary instruction on the vocabulary students came across in three articles regarding related topics. The experiment spanned two months. During this period, the first researcher instructed the subjects four hours every week. The subjects took the pre-tests before the experiment and the post-tests at the end of the experimental period. The post-test scores were analyzed by the researchers. The results show that on the vocabulary meaning recall test, these two group students didn't show difference on the target words encountering once by both groups, whereas the experimental group students outperformed the control group students on the recurrent words. Besides, students who read articles focusing on related topics outperform students who read articles about different topics on the word usage test. |
