中文摘要 | 一九五八年謝創辦人辦實踐家政專科學校,歷經更名實踐家政經濟專科學校、改制實踐設計管理學院階段、開發高雄校區到改制成為實踐大學,建校迄今已邁入四十六週年過去的基礎教育課程,由共同科負責,隸屬教務處。為期營造深度與廣度兼具之人文教育內涵,培養五育並重,知情意兼具的全人,自一九九八年元月通識教育中心,推動全校的通識課程教學。 有鑒於當前國內外大學普遍存在的一個現象,正是學校師生未能全面重視通識教育,有人甚至將通識課程視為高中課程的延長或可有可無的營養學分。因此,通識教育亟待激發大學師生之重視與共鳴,轉化對通識教育的刻板印象,激厲學生學習之興趣,有效達成通識教育預期之目標,將是有識之士刻不容緩的課題。 一九九九年實踐大學通識教育中心曾經歷全國通識教育評鑑,二○○三年七月更進行校內評鑑,部份課程也依循推動基礎教育需求調整,將國文課程分類規劃設計,學生可依興趣選擇修讀,英文課程則按能力鑑定測驗結果分級教學,通識課程學分也歷經多次溝通調整。依據 校長在「實踐大學二十一世紀新展展」對通識教育中心的殷切期許,即為進行通識課程的再造,冀望檢討通識教育六年來之實施,保留優點特色,同時前瞻進步觀念,以期更符時代精神與更加精進。 本文藉瞭解國內外大學校院通識教育之現況,對照實踐大學現有通識課程之實施,先期能知己知彼,積極建立課程再造之共識,遵循學校之辦學理念與目標,規劃切合時代需求又能創發特色的通識課程再造方案。 |
英文摘要 | During the 46th anniversary of Shih Chien University, once the basic education curriculum were in charge of the General Courses Division which belonged to the Department of Academic before the Shih Chien College upgraded to the University in the pat few decades, built the humanism education both in its depth and width contents, cultivated the morality, intelligence, physical education, group and arts well-educated person as well as knowledge, feeling and emotion balanced developments individual. The General Education Center (GEC) was formed out of the General Courses Division in Jan. 1998, and have been promoting general education courses teaching responsibly and actively. In view of the general phenomena of the university in both foreign and domestic, owing to the professor and students don’t pay much attention to the general education and some people even take its curricula as the extending courses of senior high school or nutritious credits, therefore, it requires arouse the professor and student attach importance and consensus to the general education, and transfer the inflexible impression of it to encourage student studying interest and aim at the anticipative goals of general education efficiency and effectiveness, and it is the emergent takes for those insightful educator. On the other hand, to recommend the humanists to bring influences and appeals, and it is the important future vision to make general education teachers become great masters. The general education of Shih Chien University had been participated national evaluation in 1999 and the University self-evaluation in 2003. According to the needs of basic education we have taken Chinese classified design, the student may study the course for interesting, and the English teaching with individual ability level, the course credits accommodate through communication again and again. The president Shieh attach importance and support to GEC the same academic level as the Management, Designing and Livelihood Academies in the University. According to the address of the president “Look ahead to the 21st century for Shih Chien University” in the beginning of this year emphasized the expectation to the Center to processed the renovation for curricula, to examine curricula deeply and make a strategic plan as a whole for the process from 1998, not only to keep the superior characteristics, but also forecast the prospect opinions, so that conform to Zeitgeist and Progress. The study endeavor to realize the general education in both foreign and domestic universities to understand the ideas and opinions, the interaction of curriculum design, the integration of teaching and teacher qualification and so on. Comparing to the curricula implementation of GEC in Shih Chien University, understanding, analysis and comparison completely. During the dilemma of losing education subject era, we would aware of ourselves and others, to build the renovation curricula consensus actively, and decision making the project which could create the characteristics so as to meet the transition of current educational trends, to establish a general education program with tradition and innovation and specialty. Through the evaluation we hope to provide a feasible proposal that can arrive at the renovation goals for the general education program in Shih Chien University. |
