中文摘要 | 本研究發現美和術學院大一約生對於目前學校之英文教學較具信心,而對於國中及高職階段之英文學習則缺乏信心。本研究分析顯示,受訪者過去缺乏學習信心,主要影響因素為記憶式教學法、不活潑之教材及升學導向之考試。對於目前美和技術學院之英文教學及學習,他們則較具信心。主要影響因素為其教育及教法較為生活化、實用、簡單,而且不注重考試。受訪者認為動機對於英文學習是很重要的,也認為學習英文的動機因人而異。雖然,大多數受訪者在英文學習方面屬於低成就者,一方面,他們並不把自己失敗歸咎於別人;另一方面,他們卻也原諒自己在英文學習上的失敗。有關於目前學校之課程,大部分受訪者認為是符合其需求的。 |
英文摘要 | This study finds that the majority of interviewees, who were confident in their current college English education, expressed a lack of confidence in pre-college English education, including middle school and (vocational) high school levels. The reasons for their lack of confidence were mainly related to teaching methods and materials, and exams. The majority of them were found to regard the current Mei Ho English instruction as more practical, life-related, vocabulary-oriented, and above all, relatively stress-free. Motivation is considered to be an important factor in English learning by the majority of interviewees. Interviewees, who tended to forgive themselves for their failure, were found to blame their failure on themselves instead of others. Most of the interviewees thought the current college English instruction, which emphasizes vocabulary, dialog, and even play, meet their needs. |
